How much money should I bring?
One of the best parts about a SuperClubs Super-Inclusive vacation is the fact that once you're here, you won't need to spend another penny. However, should you decide to visit some of the local attractions or take advantage of some of the outstanding bargains, you will need money, We will be happy to exchange currency on the premises. The Jamaican dollar is the legal tender in Jamaica. The Bahamian dollar is the legal tender in The Bahamas. The Brazilian Real is the currency in Brazil. Most merchants will accept US dollars or traveler's cheques, as well as major credit cards like Visa, MasterCard and American Express.
Are there departure taxes from SuperClubs locations?
All departing guests are required to pay a departure tax upon leaving the airport. This is a country/government tax.
Do you have anywhere I can keep valuables?  Back to Top
Every room at every SuperClubs resort is equipped with a safe deposit box. We advise all guests to store their jewelry, cash and other valuables in this secure place. SuperClubs cannot be responsible for lost or stolen items.
Are there any medical facilities at SuperClubs?
A registered nurse with regular office hours is on the premises at every SuperClubs resort. In the event of a medical emergency, a qualified medical doctor is on call 24 hours a day. If a doctor is called there will be a charge. Guests with any pertinent medical information or specific medication needs are asked to notify SuperClubs in advance.
What electric current do you work on?
110 volts, 50 cycles in Jamaica and 110 volts, 60 cycles in The Bahamas, 110-volt and 220-volt in Bahia, Brazil. Plugs are of the 2-pin type. Hair dryers are provided in every room.
What are the average temperatures?
Pack light! The weather in Jamaica and The Bahamas is delightful all year long. Daytime averages: 82f, 28C. Night time averages: 72F, 22C.

The Brazilian winter is from June to August, with the coldest southern states receiving average winter temperatures of between 13 and 18C (55 and 64F). In summer (December to February), Rio is hot and humid, with temperatures in the high 30Cs (80Fs); the rest of the year, temperatures hover around 25C (77F). The northeast coast gets as hot as Rio but is less humid and stifling. In general, the highlands are less hot and humid, and are prone to summer rainfalls. The Amazon basin is the rainiest part of Brazil, and while it is humid, temperatures average a reasonable 27C (80F).

Do I need proof of Citizenship?  Back to Top
A government issued birth certificate (with the raised seal, hospital issued birth certificates are not accepted) along with a government issued photo I.D., or a current passport is acceptable proof of citizenship for US and Canadian citizens. All others must have passports. Please check with your travel agent for any other necessary visa or documentation requirements.

Please note: After December 31, 2005 a valid passport will be required for travel to all of the Caribbean. Birth certificates will no longer be accepted. Proof Of Citizenship is each guest's responsibility.
Are there any gift shops on the premises?
If you're looking to bring back more from your vacation than a lifetime of memories, try your SuperClubs gift shop. You'll find a wide assortment of wonderful gifts for those special people you left behind.
What about gift baskets?
SuperClubs will be happy to arrange a special gift to welcome your special friends to their dream vacation. Choose from a variety of fruit assortments, flower arrangements and champagnes. Just contact our reservations department at 1-800-GO-SUPER (or 954-925-0925) at least one week in advance so we can take care of everything.
Are there any laundry services at SuperClubs resorts?
All rooms are equipped with an iron and ironing board, but we'll be happy to take care of all your laundry and dry cleaning at a reasonable charge. Just be sure to contact the housekeeping department and they will have our items returned to your room in 24 hours. Laundry services are complimentary at all Grand Lido Resorts & Spas.
Should I bring my own golf clubs? Back to Top
If you are a golf fanatic, you may want to bring your own clubs. Otherwise you can rent them for a reasonable charge.
How much do I tip?
Tipping is simply not permitted at SuperClubs. We cannot emphasize this enough. Your courtesy, respect and a sincere 'thank you' are all we ask. However, tipping is customary for all airport baggage personnel, cab drivers etc.
What is the dress code?
Don't panic, it's your vacation so dress like it. We recommend light clothing and plenty of shorts, swimsuits and cover-ups. However, gentlemen will need slacks and a dinner jacket for our more formal restaurants. And if you plan to play golf, tennis or workout, make sure you have the appropriate attire. We suggest one large suitcase and a comfortable carry on bag for essentials.
What kind of special events do you have?
Part of the fun of a SuperClubs vacation is letting go and joining in. We'll help you get dressed up on toga night or dressed down for the pajama party. If you have a talent you want to show off, bring whatever you need from home. No matter what, go out there and have fun!
Should I bring my tennis racquet?  Back to Top
Tennis racquets and balls are provided, but if you play best with your own, bring it.
Is Scuba Diving Included?
At the resorts where scuba is included, we will happily provide all necessary Scuba gear but you're free to bring your own equipment. If you are qualified, bring an international 'C' card or a certificate from an internationally recognized dive school. If not, you will have to take a swimming test. After passing, you will need to have a current diving medical certificate or obtain on form a local physician. We can arrange this for a small charge.
Do you have cameras and film?
Take a picture and make your SuperClubs vacation last longer. Don't forget to check your camera before you leave home. But if you have a problem. Batteries, film and disposable cameras are available at the resort gift shops.
What distance are churches from SuperClubs resorts?
Catholic and Episcopalian (Anglican) churches are situated within short driving distances of all SuperClubs resorts. In major cities like Montego Bay and Nassau, Protestant and Presbyterian Churches are also nearby.
I was asked to download a form for a 3rd party credit card, where do I find it?
You can download the form here.
What kind of sun protection do I need?  Back to Top
It gets hot beneath the Caribbean sun, so we recommend you come prepared. Be sure to bring strong protection against the sun:
  • sun screen
  • suntan lotion
  • sun glasses
  • hats & visors

Whatever you need can be purchased at the resort if you happen to leave them at home.
